Ookie arrived at Cornell all the way from Alaska with his mother, Cashew. He is a macho guy, but like his mom, has a very sweet side. He loves to be scratched between his ears, but likes to take his time getting to know someone before he lets them scratch the rest of his body. Trust is really important to this guy. He enjoys playing outside with Joey, Foam, Titan, and Nomad.

            In his racing days, Ookie was a distance runner. He made it onto his musher’s A team, and also ran the Iditarod like his mother. He could lead when he had to, but was better off amongst the group. In the past few months, Ookie and his team ran about 2 miles daily.
