Lightning

Name: Lightning

Gender: Female

Birth Year: 2009

Lightning came to us from Minnesota, along with Wanda, Natalie, Fabio, Inca, Tater, Totter, Foz, Sugar, Newt, and Lady. Like her nickname suggests, Lightning is a speedy girl - she loves to dash up and down our hallways on the way outside (sometimes we think this is more fun than actually playing outside for her). Lightning is a super sweet, affectionate dog whose tail is always wagging! She was recently diagnosed with a partially torn ligament in one of her hind legs, so she doesn’t do treadmill or weight pull training, but gets to hang out in retirement with all her friends!

Prior to coming to Cornell, Lightning did 5 mile tours with her team, which usually consisted of 10 dogs. These tours lasted about one hour and happened between one and three times daily. Lightning was a strong leader, but this past year she was semi-retired only ran once a day, maximally three times per week.

Lightning's boarding costs are 10$/day. We will keep supporting Lightning “till all the seas gang dry, and the rocks melt with the sun”, but you can also help. Adopt Lightning by subscribing to donate 5$ a month and you will receive monthly news on her

well-being, pictures and Vaika supporter's T-shirt.
