Winnie
Winnie
2010 - 2019
We lost our fight for Winnie - she died from aggressive rapidly developing osteosarcoma.
Winnie came to us from Alaska along with Copper, Fatso, Polly, and Typhoon. Before arriving at Cornell, Winnie ran glacier tours over the summer which happened three times per day and were a mile long. Last spring, she went on 40 mile runs. She was not a natural born leader, but could step up to the plate when necessary.
Winnie was very sensitive when she first arrived, but then found friends within her play group: Brooke, Skentna, Una, and Cisco, and discovered joys of getting get pets by people.
Her humans miss her and hope that her participation in the program was not in vein and information collected within this study will help to prevent disease development in many dogs.
