Duke came to us from Michigan along with Guru, Axel, Trapper, Maggie, and Piston. Duke was an easygoing, friendly guy from the start. He is buddies with Guru and plays outside with a big boy group - him, Guru, Anvik, Shak, and Koyuk. Duke is doing pretty well at his treadmill training, and has made great improvements since starting! 

 

Before coming to Cornell, Duke was a mid-distance sled dog. The runs he and his team went on ranged anywhere from 40 to 300 miles. For training runs, the runs were between 8 and 10 miles. Duke wasn’t a natural born leader, but he preformed his best as a wheel dog.
