Caramel is a sweet, playful girl that came to us from Alaska, along with Zala and Ayn. She has made herself right at home. She loves to dig holes outside in the playpen and lay in them, which is a common behavior for sled dogs! It keeps them cool in the summer months. When she’s not nesting, this golden girl enjoys playing with her friends and kennel-mates Ayn and Zala.

            During her racing days, Caramel and her team were sprint runners that usually participated in the open class at races. They ran distances of 26 miles. Caramel was a great leader for her team, and this past year she helped her musher train new puppies to be sled dogs!
